Name: Madhusudhan Rao
Education : B.A

More : I know him for many years, but really came to know about his social service when he brought an young boy to me and asked me to help with the boy's studies. His character is very good. People feel free to approach him for any info or help.

More than all those, he is a very good communicator. He can speak/write Telugu and English.
(not sure of his hindi speakign skills). He knows the rules, he can win discussions.

Politics: He knows politics well.

Doing now: As he could not get any job after BA in those days ( 10 years back ) , he settled with some shop in his village.

A Citizen Help Center does the following:

A Citizen Help Center will perform following functions:

• It will become the hub for citizen action and informed assertion
• It will be a repository of information that is simple, accurate and useful on a variety of services we, the citizens, are entitled to receive from government and its agencies
• It will carry information on a wide spectrum of government activities including certificates, land-related issues, public distribution system, voting rights, civic issues, public utilities, civil rights and stake holder empowerment
• It will assist the citizens in their interactions with the government and its agencies
• It will act as library/resource center and will also host information on contemporary socio-political issues.
• It will act as counseling center for young people seeking information on employment opportunities and where possible senior staff of LSP will guide the youngsters in the career plans

It will also act as information centers for all the activities of LSP

successful canvassing in Nellore

Friends, The canvassing in nellore have been very successful and we felt very happy for being part of it. There is more craze of Loksatta than what we expected. From door-to-door we got new energy after seeing the response.

Before the campaign we were just thinking that Loksatta can make its mark in nellore, but now we really feel that there is a chance of winning it. And I hope it may be the same with other district head quarters as well. Here I am putting some of the highlights of the canvassing.

1. The team size was 1o on saturday ( 18-04-09) and 8 on sunday (19-04-09)
2. Covered 4 major areas in nellore i.e Balaji Nagar (partially), Narthaki Centre and trunk road completely, NTR Nagar and Nawab pet.
3. No other party goes door to door to explain about their party and its manifesto,principles (of course people know about those manifestos). Just the paid workers leave the pamplets in front of the doors and leave. Only Loksatta goes to door and spends 2-5 minutes to exaplain why one should vote for loksatta. This has been very successuful and it gave immense pleasure to the team. Now I feel very bad of myself for wasting lot many weekends.

4. While we were on the road, Two 'painters' came to us and asked for the pamplets and cards, then I asked ' Do you know about this party ? ' , they replied, " Sir, we attended JPs meeting in Nellore and since then we have a hope for a better life and we are also telling many of my friends". When I asked about their education, they told they discontinued their studies after Intermediate due to various reasons....
And folks, there were many more stories this way and all of them are looking for loksatta.
Believe me, there is much more craze out there than what we are actually thinking.

I strongly feel that If 50 people who knows and believes in Loksatta principles stronger, work for a week, A city can be changed/moved towards Loksatta. But its too late for us to work on that. Lets at least start working now, to transform the society..

Canvassing to support Loksatta in Nellore this weekend 18-19

Hi Friends,
This is my humble request to all Loksatta supporters to be part of the canvassing in nellore town , planned this weekend i.e 18th and 19th of this month. We have been talking of Loksatta for a long and also supported it in many ways. Now its time for us to work on the grass roots to make all our work yield results. The canvassing in nellore has been going on at a good pace but not sufficient. Our part will definitely play an important role in changing the mindsets of many people, especially those who think their vote may go waste.

Please remember that an ounce of action is more than a ton of talk. Lets get into the action now and contribute to the extent possible. A many as 50 people joined hands for this so far. To make more impact we need more and more people.
